MOCA GA meets fashion during Factory Girls event

Fashion and art collide for this second annual event hosted by The Factory Girls and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia.

On Thursday, beginning at 6:30 p.m., the event features a runway fashion show highlighting some Southern designers including headliner Abby Glass who will show her spring/summer 2016 collection inspired by Atlanta artist Britt Bass.

After the show, from 8 – 9:30 p.m., a retail shop of local makers including Pieces of Starr, Meaghan Torbert, Abbey Glass, Brooke Atwood, Ashley Woodson Bailey, Frankie & Fern, and Elizabeth Heard will be open for business. A portion of proceeds will go to the museum. Tickets for the event start at $50, VIP starts at $125.

Here’s the full schedule for the evening:

5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Private reception for all VIP attendees including food and drink, access to shops
6:30 – 7 p.m. Doors open for general admission
7 – 8 p.m. Runway Fashion show
8- 9:30 p.m. Shops remain open
