Unlike most other holidays, July 4 is a good time to buy big-ticket items, according to the deal spotters at Dealnews.
Look for certain retailers to dominate the discounts, including Macy’s, where last year shoppers got 50 percent off a range of items with an extra 15 to 20 percent off certain categories such as swimwear and watches.
The Fourth of July is a good time to buy in-season summer apparel, which will be deeply discounted to make room for back-to-school merchandise. Macy’s and Kohl’s top the list of retailers for these deals, as well as H&M, say Dealnews experts.
There will be discounts offered on electronics such as laptops and tablets, but if you hold off until August, the height of back-to-school season, the deals may be even better.
