Overseas deals: InternationalLiving.com recently cited Panama, Ecuador and Belize as countries with the best incentives for foreign retirees, with savings on things such as travel, utility bills and medication. For example, Panama has a “pensionado” visa, available to anyone with a lifetime pension of more than $1,000 a month. Discounts include 20 percent off medical services, 50 percent off entertainment, 25 percent off restaurant meals, 25 percent off airfare and 25 percent off utilities.

Tossed Out Treasures: The thrift sale returns to Sandy Springs this weekend. Find bargains on high-end home décor, jewelry, silver, crystal, sports equipment, art, furniture, gently used clothing and more. For $25, or $30 at the door, beat the crowds with the preview party 6-9 tonight. Otherwise, get in for free during regular sale hours, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Saturday. Tossed Out Treasures takes place in the old Marshalls at 6337 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs; www.sandyspringssociety.org.

D’Vine Wine Bar: Stop by on Mondays for “Uncorked Night,” where you can taste all the wine opened the previous Saturday until the bottles are empty. Sample from at least 30 wines for $18 ($50 value). Then from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday sip along to “3 Blind Mice,” a blind tasting of three wines for $9 plus a $4.50 credit on your tab if you guess all three correctly (with helpful clues). D’Vine Wine Bar & Shop, 5486 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Suite 15, Dunwoody.
