View Caption Hide Caption

Are you planning to ship your Christmas gifts to their destinations? Time is running out, particularly if it is free shipping you want.

The best thing to do is purchase gifts online and have them sent directly to the recipient. If you are planning to ship them yourself, here are the absolute deadlines for US shipping from the major carriers:

FEDEX     Dec. 23 Last day for FedEx Standard Overnight, FedEx Priority Overnight or FedEx First Overnight.

UPS            Dec. 23  Last day to ship UPS Next Day Air packages in time for arrival by Wednesday, Dec. 24.

USPS          Dec. 20  For First Class and Priority Mail; Dec. 23 for Priority Mail Express

Free Shipping Day is Dec. 18. Hundreds of retailers including Bergdorf Goodman, J. Crew, Belk, Harry & David, Nike, Dick’s Sporting Good and many more offer free shipping with no minimum purchase requirements. For some retailers, this will be the last (if not the only) day to get free shipping. See a list of participating retailers at freeshippingday.com.

If you miss free shipping day, you still have time to shop and ship from retailer websites.
