In food news today, Instacart, the same day grocery delivery service that arrived in Atlanta in June has announced their expansion to North Fulton. Time pressed shoppers in Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton, and part of John’s Creek can now order items  from Whole Foods Market, Kroger, and Costco, and have it all delivered in an hour or a scheduled one hour time slot during the day. (You don’t have to have a Costco membership to order from Costco.)

This announcement coincides with the opening today of a new Whole Foods Market at Avalon, the new mixed-use development coming later this month at 2800 Old Milton Pkwy in Alpharetta.

When you open an account at www.Instacart.com, you get free delivery on your first order of $10 or more. Then you pay $5.99 for one hour delivery for orders $35 or more. Instacart also offers an Amazon-Prime type of service called Instacart Express. It costs $99 for one year and all orders of $35 or more are free.  You can sign up for a free two-week trial at www.instacart.com/express.
