 The Rock Ranch: “Hats off to Heroes” takes place during the First Fall Family Fun Day on Sept. 27 honoring teachers and home school educators, public servants in law enforcement, fire, EMS and related fields. Public servants in law enforcement, fire, EMS and related fields will receive a free “bounce back” pass (up to four paying guests) with professional service badge or ID. Teachers and Home School Educators will receive a free “bounce back” pass (up to four paying guests) per school ID or proof of homeschool status. Military families are half-off with military ID (this week and every Saturday in the fall). Enjoy the annual corn maze, guest photos with Wizard of Oz characters and more. The event takes place, Saturday, Sept. 27, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., The Rock Ranch, 5020 Barnesville Hwy., The Rock.

 “Atlanta Streets Alive”: On Sept. 28, from 2-6 p.m. join the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition when they close a five-mile loop of streets to cars, including N. Highland, Highland, Boulevard and North Avenue. Businesses and organizations along the route are invited to create an activity and join in the fun. The day kicks off with the Great Atlanta Bicycle Parade at 2 p.m. All Atlantans are invited to participate and ride the route, which starts at the intersection of Virginia and N. Highland. Planned activities include:

  • Hockey and soccer games on a mini turf field with equipment all hosted by Atlanta ContactPoint and Dragon Goal
  • A climbing wall and bike fix-it station by REI
  • Music and dance activities such as Zumba and other fitness classes and a capella singing groups
